Operations
The Pipelines Division registered an excellent performance with ever-highest operational throughput of 63.98 million tonnes of crude oil and petroleum products. The achievement is 100.82% higher than the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) / internal targets and increase of 8.11 % higher than the previous year’s throughput.
The overall crude oil throughput for the year 2009-10 is 41.40 million tonnes and the petroleum product throughput is 22.58 million tonnes.
Northern Region Pipelines
The MOU targets of different pipelines in Northern Region were achieved during the financial year 2009-10. Panipat-Ambala-Jalandhar Pipeline’s MOU target (2300 TMT) was achieved on February 28, 2010. Panipat-Rewari Pipeline (PRPL) achieved MOU target (1350 TMT) and Stretched MOU target (1500 TMT) on February 22 and March 22, 2010 respectively. PRPL achieved the highest ever annual throughput of 1502 TMT in 2009-10 crossing the previous best of 1435 TMT achieved in 2008-09. Panipat-Delhi Pipeline’s MOU target (450 TMT) and Stretched MOU target (500 TMT) were achieved on September 27, 2009 and December 15, 2009 respectively. Mathura-Tundla Pipeline’s MOU target (266 TMT) was achieved on February 6, 2010. The Chaksu-Panipat section of Salaya-Mathura Pipeline MOU target (4381 TMT) and Stretched MOU target (5262 TMT) were achieved on December 2, 2009 and January 21, 2010 respectively.
First batch of Euro IV MS pumped in Panipat-Rewari Pipeline on February 12, 2010 while the Euro IV HSD was pumped on January 27, 2010.
As a part of customer satisfaction initiatives, nine rakes of MS Euro III (28,000 kl) was received in LBT-05 from different sources / Refineries via PMC piping (July -September 2009) for pumping in Panipat-Delhi Pipeline during Mathura Refinery shutdown to meet requirement in Delhi in September 2009. Eight batches of SRGO were received from Koyali refinery (70,000 MT) at Panipat in 2009-10 as a part of stream sharing between Refineries. Total 21 batches were received at Panipat through KSPL-MPPL since 2007-08.
