Madhya Pradesh State office (MPSO), Bhopal, bagged the MP State Govt's coveted Bhamashah Award for performance during 2008-09 for the second year in a row. MPSO has been chosen as the highest contributory to the State exchequer for the year 2008-09 in the category of Trader.

Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister of MP, presented the cash award of Rs. 5 Lakh and a certificate to Mr. V. S. Kumaar, DGM (Finance), MPSO and Mr. R. C. Chowdhury, Manager(Finance), MPSO at a glittering function held at Indore. Mr. Raghavji, State Finance Minister, was also present on the occasion.

MP State Govt. had instituted the Bhamashah Award for felicitation of the assessees in the categories of Manufacturer, Trader and Business who have contributed towards the highest Vat/Entry tax to the State exchequer at the State level.
