Mr. B. M. Bansal, Chairman, inaugurated a Community Centre built by IndianOil at Sarurpur Khurd Village. Located at a distance of 25 km from Meerut Town, the community centre is dedicated to the Gram Panchayat. Mr Indrajit Bose, GM, UPSO-II, NOIDA, senior IndianOil officials and representatives of the village panchayat were present at the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Bansal said that IndianOil has always believed in creating community assets under its community development plan, which are then handed over to the various civic bodies. In addition to being a forerunner in providing world class customer services at its retail outlets, it believes in playing the role of a responsible stakeholder in society.
Named as ‘SADBHAWANA’ and constructed on land belonging to the “Panchayati Choupal”, the community centre will serve as a multipurpose hall, with a capacity of 250 people, for the welfare the villagers. The centre will be used as barat ghar and for organizing various social activities.
